Great job to our future plumbers who are building skills that will keep our communities running!
Our students recently completed a project installing 160 feet of 4-inch sewer pipe, carefully digging the trench and using levels to ensure the proper pitch for correct drainage—a critical skill in the plumbing trade.
This real-world project will provide sewer service to campers and a new building at the U.S. Military Veterans MC compound in Crestview.
Experiences like this project allow our students to gain valuable hands-on training while giving back to the community. We are proud of their hard work and dedication to mastering the trade!

Real Skills. Real Equipment. Real Experience.
Students in the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) 1 & 2 programs at Emerald Coast Technical College are getting hands-on training by repurposing older equipment for practice installations.
Working with real HVAC/R systems allows students to practice installation techniques, troubleshoot components, and gain the kind of experience they’ll use every day in the field. Our Cosmetology students enjoyed a hands-on trip to The Little Yellow Bench Co., where they learned about essential oils and the art of creating natural products. The Cosmo girls had a wonderful time making their own soaps, perfumes, and shea butter body lotion while exploring another side of the beauty and wellness industry.
