Our Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) 1 and 2 students are putting their skills to work by redirecting A/C for Everlasting Word Church!
From running and securing ductwork to installing ceiling vents and ensuring proper airflow, this project gave students valuable real-world experience in layout, system design, and teamwork.
Hands-on opportunities like this help our students build confidence while serving our local community. We’re proud to see classroom learning applied in meaningful ways!

❤️🩸 Closing Out Heart Month by Saving Lives! 🩸❤️
As we wrap up Heart Month at Emerald Coast Technical College, we are proud to share the incredible results from our recent blood drive!
Thanks to our amazing students, staff, and community partners, 12 units of blood were donated.
Since each donation can save up to three lives, that means up to 36 patients could benefit from the lifesaving generosity of our ECTC family.
Even more powerful—the blood donated will likely be transfused into patients within 48–72 hours. The need is constant, and your impact is immediate.
We are grateful for our continued partnership and for everyone who helped make this drive a success. Together, we are truly making a difference in our community.

Our Practical Nursing students have officially wrapped up their clinical rotation at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, and what an incredible experience it has been!
During this rotation, our students gained valuable hands-on experience in the:

The staff at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast were absolutely fabulous, providing mentorship, guidance, and real-world learning opportunities that will stay with our students throughout their nursing careers. We are so grateful for their partnership and support in training the next generation of nurses.

The City of DeFuniak Springs has announced a temporary road closure that will impact access to Emerald Coast Technical College the last week of February.
📍 North 20th Street will be closed from Wabash Avenue north to Highlander Apartments (537 North 20th Street)
📅 Monday, February 23 – Friday, February 27, 2026
🔧 Closure is due to utility installation and construction.
🚫 ECTC will NOT be accessible from Highway 90 during this time.
➡️ All students, staff, and visitors must access ECTC via Walton Road only.
Please plan accordingly and allow extra travel time as needed. Use caution when traveling near the work zone.

We are excited to share a wonderful initiative that recently took place at the Magnet Innovation Center (MIC), featuring two of our exceptional Health Science instructors from Emerald Coast Technical College—Ms. Gray and Mrs. Watson!
As part of our ongoing efforts to expand meaningful educational pathways within the Walton County School District, MIC students from Dr. Aresco's class had the opportunity to engage with our Health Science Department mannequins and explore essential healthcare skills in a dynamic, hands-on learning environment.
From demonstrations to interactive practice, students were fully immersed — and a great time was had by all!
A special shoutout to our ECTC students who participated and helped lead the experience. They did an exceptional job working with the high school students, making the day both fun and educational. Their teaching skills were truly top-notch… we may have some future educators in the making!
